One specialist software package for the steel construction industry.

In the early 1990s, Jos Bonte started his graduation assignment at a steel construction company in Hardenberg, Overijssel. Bursting with enthusiasm and a deep interest in the organization and the steel construction industry, he dove into the task. He quickly found a natural fit with the no-nonsense approach of steel builders, where everyone rolled up their sleeves and worked together.

Jos took it upon himself to lead the charge in bringing innovation to the steel construction company’s software systems, enabling growth and the pursuit of new opportunities. He discovered and implemented a cutting-edge 3D BIM package, opening up new horizons for the steel constructor.

Buoyed by the positive reception, Jos remained committed to seeking progressive software solutions for all facets of the steel construction company. It was a transformative project with far-reaching consequences. However, after implementation, he encountered the challenge of connecting various software solutions, and he saw this as an opportunity for improvement.

Jos had a vision: a specialized software package tailored to the steel construction industry, available worldwide, and endowed with ample flexibility. This vision laid the groundwork for ConstruSteel.

The start of ConstruSteel.

Jos founded his company and hired employees. They put in extensive effort into developing the software package ConstruSteel and also delved deeper into exploring the market. They worked together diligently, infused with the necessary humor, which fostered the creation of a loyal team that continued to expand. ConstruSteel’s customer base grew not only within the United States but also well beyond its borders. In addition to being a passionate entrepreneur, Jos was also a father of three young children, the leader of the local soccer team, and, whenever his busy schedule allowed, he enjoyed camping with his family. They would hook up the caravan to their car and head out. It was during these vacations that new ideas often sprang to life. Ideas which he eagerly developed further upon returning home.

Jos consistently identified opportunities and tested the developed software products to align with customer preferences, ensuring ongoing product optimization and maintaining organizational agility. Through focused and diligent efforts, Jos and his team facilitated the organization’s continued growth, all while maintaining a grounded and positive perspective.
